I've not delved deep into the mass of Doctor Who stuff going on, but I am going to comment about my thoughts...

I have spent the entire time since I heard about the announcement (which seemed to be pretty early, it's not often I can get info before drunken_hedghog  !) in a state of moderate terror. I knew it shouldn't be a woman, but dammit I was scared! I had my own personal shortlist, and my list of people I wouldn't disagree with, but I was just so scared it would be some dodgy soap opera "actor" that I was literally as focussed as I was during an F1 race.

Now, onto the choice of Eleven:

Because let's face it people, I recall wank just like this when Tennant was announced. And I personally raged when Billie Piper was announced, and now I miss her: ditto Catherine Tate. I'm gonna kick back, relax, and enjoy my last year EVER with David as Ten. I will cry when he leaves, but right now I have to focus on the now of Who, and that's Ten.
